Welcome

I’m Marie an artist living in pretty rural Lancashire in an area totally surrounded by nature. This inspires my art and provides me with the opportunity to discover and learn about the wildlife around me. I create designs that connect with nature and suggest ways in which we can enrich it.

Initially I trained in graphic design and have worked extensively as a graphic designer both employed  and on a freelance basis. More recently I studied for a BA Honours in Visual Communications combining graphic design with illustration. This further enriched my work and provided me with a broader range of experience and skills, enabling me to work in a variety of styles and materials.

My art promotes the beauty of nature and a need to move towards a kinder environment. It highlights endangered wildlife and suggest ways in which we can help to protect them. My designs also reflect the versatility of my work and my interest to combine decorative design with art inspired by nature.
